Dr. Nikolai Maloff is a winner of major piano competitions such as the Virginia Waring, Franz Liszt (Italy), Eckhardt-Gramatt� and Canadian Music Competitions. He has appeared to resounding acclaim as a recitalist, chamber musician and collaborative musician in Canada, the United States, Russia, Ukraine, Byelorussia, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Peru and Chile. In his capacity as a teacher, Dr. Maloff not only brings to his students the full breadth of his years of performance experience but also the benefits of an intimate understanding of both Eastern and Western pedagogical traditions.

Canadian Violinist Gwen Thompson began her professional career in 1971. She has performed and coached solo, orchestral and chamber music at festivals throughout Canada, the Pacific Northwest and Europe. She was associated with the Vancouver Academy of Music as Head of the String Department for twenty five years, as well as holding a teaching position at the University of British Columbia. She has performed as soloist and member of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the CBC Chamber Orchestra and has led the Baroque Strings. For fourteen years she was an Artist-in-Residence at the Vancouver Chamber Music Series - Masterpiece Music. Gwen was appointed to the Order of Canada in 2003, and is working on a book of recollections and thoughts on her teaching experience.

Winnipeg born Dr Eric Wilson has received many accolades and testaments to his talent over a long career, including a Bronze Medal at the Geneva International Competition in 1971 and a Master of Music degree at the Juilliard School in New York. In 2004 he started teaching a series of master classes in Taiwan, and continues to give premiere performances of new works for cello solo and small ensembles as a member of NU:BC, a cutting edge contemporary ensemble. Eric Wilson is Head of Strings at the University of British Columbia, School of Music.
