A versatile performer, UK jazz pianist Neil Cowley has played for Adele, but has lots of think-outside-the-box ideas when he collaborates with his gifted trio. Pop-aware and boldly original, Cowley was named the “Artist of the Year” at the 2013 Jazz FM Awards. Give a listen to 2016’s remarkable Spacebound Apes, and it’s clear why this group have carved out a reputation as one of Britain’s most exciting bands. Rex Horan (bass) and Evan Jenkins (drums).
