Nature Sketching in Paradise Meadows
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Draw and discover the unique and diverse array of alpine flora and fauna found in Strathcona Park. Elke Ribeyre, artist, conservationist and flower-hugger, will casually guide you on an artistic foray through Paradise Meadows, during which you will connect more deeply with nature’s detailed beauty by recording your observations through the age-old practice of nature sketching. Find your inner childhood artist, the one who does not self-criticize, and simply enjoy expressing your appreciation of Nature creatively. In the process, become more aware of how we too are fauna in this fragile yet wonderful alpine ecosystem.
Nature’s children of all ages and experience welcome!
Please bring a sketchbook if you have one.
Meet at the Paradise Meadows Trailhead at 10:00am
There is no charge for participation however, SWI is a volunteer-run non-profit organization and relies on your support through donations.
