To this group of talented and diverse artists, the theme 'Natural Connections' refers to many things- our relationships with habitats and animals, relationships between people unhampered by technology, our relationship with our materials and the ideas and stories that evolve from our artistic expression. 'Natural Connections' includes intricate, multi-layered collage and mixed media art by Wendy Duffield, who also creates wearable books and jewellery made from found objects. Andrea England will display her vibrant watercolour paintings and sketches, inspired by the West Coast and life on a sailboat. Maria Roxbourough creates whimsical soft sculptures, cushions and art dolls, full of detail and often incorporating upcycled vintage fabrics. The show will include beautiful hand-bound books and eco-dyed textiles by Susan Duffield along with elaborate and vibrant polymer jewellery and multimedia art by Donna Klazek. Eagle Nest Pottery will share their handmade ceramic creations, featuring multilayered glazes inspired by the colours of Vancouver Island. The exhibition features fine art along with smaller pieces that will make unique holiday gifts and Christmas presents, plus art cards and prints.
