Ecumenical candle lighting vigil on the 30th anniversary of the Montreal Massacre. Co-hosted by First Met and the Grandmothers Advocacy Network with participation from Victoria's faith and Indigenous communities.


Music by the Resistance Rising Choir; spoken word by poets Beth Kope and Maita.


December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women in Canada. Established in 1991 by the Parliament of Canada, this day marks the 30th anniversary of the 1989 murders of 14 young women at l'Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal.
