Nanaimo Ukulele Festival 2017 ~ A Great Little Festival Saturday, July 15th, 2017 to Sunday, July 16th, 2017 Location of All Events: Nanaimo Neighbourhood Church 4851 Rutherford Rd, Nanaimo BC.

Workshops with instructor James Hill and Rob Wilkinson at Nanaimo Neighbourhood Church, check festival for more information/workshop description and to purchase workshop tickets online at festival nanaimoukulelefestival.ca. Workshops are limited to between 20 to 35 spaces.

Saturday evening Concert featuring James Hill and Anne Janelle. An award-winning songwriter who “gives the ukulele its dignity back without ever taking himself too seriously” (Song lines), James Hill “proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that in the right hands the uke can be a formidable axe” (Ann Arbor News).  Tickets are $25.00 each and available at Fascinating Rhythm, Arbutus Music, Mulberry Bush Bookstore in Parksville & Qualicum Beach, or online at nanaimoukulelefestival.ca.

Sunday Ukulele Jammin'Jamobree at Nanaimo Neighbourhood Church Kick off concert featuring the Revolving Doors. Sing and Strum: Bring your ukes and a fun attitude and be prepared to sing and strum your heart out with all the other uke players during the sing-along. No need to bring a stand or any of your own books or song sheets. All the songs will be projected onto a screen with an overhead projector.  Open Mic:  Bring a favourite song/piece you have been working on to showcase at the open mic. Admission is by donation.
