Nanaimo Sings! Choral Festival Society presents The Nanaimo Sings! Festival 2015, a three-day choral extravaganza with 2 days of Festival Concerts at St Andrew's United Church, with a finale Gala Concert at the Port Theatre on October 18.

Gala Concert: October 18 at 7pm @ The Port Theatre

Join us for the Gala Concert at The Port Theatre with host and guest conductor, Willi Zwozdesky, noted composer, arranger and choral conductor from Vancouver.  Hear all Nanaimo Sings! choirs perform both individually and en masse.  In an exciting massed choir finale, 350 voices from A Cappella Plus, Camerata Singers, Cantabile, Chor Musica, Gabriola Island Singers, Heart of the Island Chorus, Island Bel Canto Singers, Island Consort, Malaspina Choir, Nanaimo Youth Choir, Sinclair Singers, Tidesmen Barbershop Chorus and the Yellow Point Singers will combine to culminate an evening of beautiful music showcasing the diversity and excellence of choral music in our community.

The Nanaimo Sings! Choral Festival Society is committed to promoting choral singing in our Nanaimo and to presenting quality choral events. We believe that choral music is soul-satisfying because it creates a connection to something larger than oneself. John Rutter, renowned choral conductor, composer, editor, arranger and record producer maintains that as a member of a choir, “somehow you leave your troubles of the day... you walk away renewed." Choral music is what Nanaimo Sings! stands for.  It is what we do both individually and collectively. Working together, we celebrate community through song!

Festival Pass: $15
Admission to any or all of the Festival Concerts
at St Andrew's United Church. Admission to a
single concert is $10 cash at the door.
