A Roundtable Leader will guide HR practitioners through a discussion on specific topics related to the field of Human Resources. This allows for sharing of knowledge, strategies, lessons-learned, and practical tips, tools, and techniques. Participants are encouraged to actively engage in the discussion, ask questions, and provide real scenarios. A variety of formats will be used depending on the topic and the facilitator (i.e. group discussions, case studies etc.).

Former litigation lawyer, Diane A. Ross realized that the negotiation tactics that were winning cases in the courtroom were causing damage to relationships in the rest of her life. Inspired to make a change, Diane founded Elephant Conversations Ltd., a business devoted to teaching people practical skills for difficult conversations based on real and respectful communication. Roundtable Leader: Catherine (Cathy) Power, CHRP of Power Consulting enjoyed a 30+ year career in the Telecommunications Industry including Public Relations, HR, Management, Coaching, Leadership, Team Building, Training, Facilitating and Public Speaking prior to starting her own consulting firm. She is a founding President of a Toastmasters Club and holds a CTM (Competent Toastmaster) rating, is Past President of the Nanaimo Oceanside Rotary Club and served on the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for 7 years. She is known for her entertaining and humorous approach to training.
