Come see the amazing journey our drinking water takes from the mountains to our homes! Enjoy an exclusive guided tour of the upper Nanaimo River Watershed, followed by a tour of Nanaimo’s innovative new Water Treatment Plant. Forestry representatives and City water staff will be on hand to discuss forestry, water quality, future plans and answer questions. Don't forget your camera!
Wed. March 22, 2017 10am–4pm $10/person
Meet at the lower Bowen Park parking lot off Wall Street.
Bring a lunch and wear suitable clothing for rugged ground and weather.
Fee: $10.50 (bus costs)
Note: if you just want to tour the Treatment Plant you can register for that separately, no cost involved. Meet @ 2500 South Forks Rd. at 2pm.
