Nanaimo Newcomers Club exists to welcome and offer friendship to all women who are new to the Nanaimo area. We offer opportunities to share common interests and to learn about Nanaimo and the Island, with the goal of having fun and forging new and lasting friendships.

General meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month from September to June at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 4325 Departure Bay Road, doors opening at 6:45, but throughout the month members can participate in all sorts of activities. We invite you to come to our general meeting, get registered, talk to our greeters, visit with some of our members, find out a little more about our club and see the variety of activities we offer. Meetings are informal, usually with a speaker or activity, followed by coffee and chat time, and then a short business meeting.There is always time to share ideas, join an activity, make new acquaintances and reconnect with others.

Activities throughout the month are dictated by the interest of the members. Most activities are for members only, but some, such as "Drinks & Appies" and "Dining-In", could include partners and guests.

You may attend one of our meetings and Coffee and Chat before deciding to become a member, or you may join at the first meeting and participate in everything! Annual membership is $30. You can be a member for 4 years, after which you have the option of joining the Newcomers’ Alumni.

Our members come from across Canada, indeed from all over the world! Many of our activities take place during the day, but there are also some evening and weekend events that allow those who work an opportunity to participate.

We do not meet in July and August but some activities do continue for members throughout the summer.
