Nanaimo Museum - In 1913
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Our fall hallway display In 1913 takes a look at imagery from Nanaimo during that year. Using photos selected from the museum’s own collection, highlights include the arrest of the “Flying Dutchman” Henry Wagner, the militia in the street and vandalism from the coal strike. The main focus will be the story of the SS Oscar explosion and some of the results from the blast that affected downtown Nanaimo.
The community gallery is located just off the main lobby / gift shop of the museum and is free to view.
