Celebrating the amazing city of Nanaimo, and the heritage of all it's people.

Downtown Nanaimo will be the place to be this Victoria Day long weekend.  Nanaimo Heritage Days is bringing the best of old and new to celebrate Nanaimo's culture, music and history with a fantastic new festival which will take place in Diana Krall Plaza and along Commercial Street, which will be closed from Terminal Avenue to Bastion for a Street Festival which will feature restaurant patios, merchant and vendor sales. It will be an exciting day of music and family fun. REWFest, sponsored by Real Estate Webmasters and Rewsters Restaurant will be a festival  for all ages.

REWFest Sound Stage

The entertainment begins at noon in Diana Krall Plaza and goes until 9:30pm and will feature a Community Sound Stage. Then at 4:30 there will be a short break followed by an evening of free concerts kicking off at 5pm featuring Big Bang Baby, followed by Sir Real,  a Nanaimo Hip Hop artist at 6pm, At 7pm, the Femmes Fatal will rock the fans out with their amazing rock and pop covers until 8pm when Kytami "violinist extremist" finishes out the evening.

There will be a Beer Garden in Diana Krall Plaza from 5 to 9:30. The evening will end with a bang as everyone heads down to Maffeo Sutton Park for the Tilray Fireworks Show which takes place at 10pm.

Sunday families will line the streets at 1pm for the first ever Nanaimo Heritage Days Parade. The festival organizers are still looking for volunteers.
