HOW DOES FRINGE WORK?

Your price of admission goes directly to the artists. Shows are selected by lottery, which means there's no bias or censorship and the festival is always an unexpected variety. We reserve half of the lottery for local artists. Artists from around the world travel their shows across Canada by going from fringe to fringe, which sweeps west across the country every summer.

The festival is non-profit. We are driven by government grants, sponsorship from local businesses, and lots of volunteers. By pooling resources we're able to make it easy and affordable for emerging artists to produce a show

WHAT'S FRINGE HUB?
Fringe Hub is like the town square of the festival, a gathering place every night after the shows for artists and audiences to meet and enjoy free entertainment from local bands and other performance artists. Make your mark on the wall of love, a great big canvas for your reviews, and discuss the shows with other patrons and the artists themselves. This venue is licensed.
