Come for Fiddle Camp and stay longer for a vacation on spectacular Vancouver Island. Nanaimo Fiddle Society invites you to Fiddle Camp 2024, being held at Spruston Road camp, only 10 minutes south of Nanaimo or 10 minutes north of Ladysmith.
Classes held Tuesday - Friday from 9:00 - 2:30 with an optional family barbeque and welcome toe-tappin' jam on Monday evening.
Small fiddle group classes for beginners, intermediates and advanced ages 10 - 99 years.
Daily accompaniment class for guitar, mandolin and ukulele.
Daily Folk Band Ensemble class for all levels.
Fun, community events are planned for Wednesday and Thursday evening.
The finale camp concert will be held Friday afternoon from 1:00 - 4:00.
The 2024 highly regarded instructors include: Gabriel Dubreuil, Jennie Bice, JJ Guy, Gordon Stobbe, Geoff Horrocks, Trish Horrocks
The large daily Folk Band Ensemble class will take place in the lovely camp dance hall. Small group classes will take place in shade tents, banquet tents, under shady maple trees and in the magical forest amphi-theatre (weather permitting). Bring your camera.
Fiddle among the lush forest ferns as you walk to the nearby peaceful river swimming hole.
Full time camp registration fee is $375 Early Bird rate until March 31. Bring your enthusiasm.
