A pre-screening of local filmmaker Paul Manly’s “United Against Empire”, which chronicles the efforts of VIU student activists in the mid-2000s to change the name and focus of Nanaimo’s annual Empire Days celebrations. Followed by Q & A with former student activist Simon Schachner and Jamaican reggae musician Clinton Fearon.
