Business for a Better Nanaimo, a not for profit group formed by local businesses, is hosting a fundraiser with a twist: Dinner of Light is a fundraiser in support of the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation.
The goal is to raise money to buy vital operating room lights for the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. These specialized lights cost $46,000 and the goal of the fundraiser is to generate $15,000 towards this much-needed purchase.
Guests will be treated to chauffeured car service, a French full course dinner paired with a collection of French wines, entertainment featuring musicians from the Vancouver Island Symphony, a private firework display overlooking the 18th green and the grand door prize - a luxury weekend getaway for two valued at $2000. Unlike most fundraising events, there will be no actual fundraising as all of the value is included in the ticket price.
