The Nanaimo Conservatory of Music is celebrating its 40th anniversary in our community with a gala concert!
The concert will be on Saturday 27 May at 2:00 pm in St. Andrew’s United Church. Faculty and students alike will be sharing their musical gifts!
Tickets are $10 adults; children under 16 are free. Tickets may be purchased at the NCM or from NCM faculty members.
The Nanaimo Conservatory of Music began in 1977 as the Central Vancouver Island Community Music School with six teachers and 30 students. Since that time, the conservatory has grown and now has 25 faculty members and over 250 students in disciplines including all instruments, voice, Kindermusik, Suzuki Method, ensembles and choirs. Many faculty members are also members of the Vancouver Island Symphony and all faculty offer the highest level of instruction.
The NCM is unique in the Central Vancouver Island area and draws students from Duncan to the North Island.
