Canada’s 150 Anniversary & Nanaimo Concert Band’s 145 Anniversary. It’s Time to Celebrate and we are going to do it with Music!
The Band will be celebrating several special anniversaries this year. Our Fall Concert will highlight Canada's composers and arrangers in celebrating Canada's 150 Anniversary and the Concert will be full of celebration pieces for our own Anniversary of 145 years playing music in
Nanaimo.
It's a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon in the comfort of the Port Theatre listening to one of the best musical groups Nanaimo has to offer. This national award-winning band performs a wide-ranging musical repertoire including classical, big band, marches, show tunes and more! It is the oldest continuously performing concert band in Canada, celebrating 145 years of making great music.
