The Nanaimo Concert Band is performing at the Lion's Pavilion at Maffeo Sutton Park !

We were so well received last year , even during a thunder and lightening storm and down pour and we looking forward to playing for the community again. If you have room in your paper to help us get the word out, that would be great.

It's a free concert and we are putting out all the costs so we are not able to buy an Ad for this event, so any help you can do would be great. Thank you.

If you haven't heard this band perform before and you think to yourself..."I'm not into concert band music" ....but once you hear this great band, you will be pleasantly surprised at how great the music is and that you know most of the tunes! And you will find that you are wanting to come back for more.

This is a perfect concert to get that experience as it is absolutely free! Bring a chair or blanket to sit on and relax and listen to some great toe tapping music. Great music for all ages. The band will be featuring some fun pieces such as the "Pirates of the Caribbean" , and to feature our brass section we will be playing "Taste of Tijuana" which will have everyone tapping their toes. Then we travel musically to Hawaii playing "Songs of Aloha". The evening will leave you smiling and relaxed and your head full of great tunes!
