Join us for two days of educational gardening activities at our Pine Street Community Garden. This free family event is sponsored by Island Savings GIFT grant and will include free workshops for families, food, live music and a wide selection of naturally grown, open-pollinated heritage plants, seeds and compost worms.
Childrens activities include face painting, planting seeds, crafts, a stepping stone workshop, music and puppets and a visit from Penny the Owl, Islands Savings cute mascot.
Master Gardeners will be on site to happily answer any gardening questions you may have and local agencies will be providing information for the whole weekend. Local food vendors will have their wares available to purchase and we will be harvesting some rhubarb for the occasion to sell.
