Halloween Spooktacular!
Get your dancing shoes ready for this spooky Halloween theme dance! Dress up in your favourite costume or come as you are! All levels of dancers welcome, singles and couples!
We'll start the dance with a workshop by Gabriola Island dance teacher Gwen Spinks. "Feldenkrais for Dancers" is one of her most popular workshops and shows dancers how to re-connect with our natural ability to move, think and feel. We'll learn how to move and carry ourselves with less effort, and notice the relationship between movement and thought, increased mental awareness and creativity.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of dancers, from beginner to competition dancers. By understanding how you move, both on a physical and mental level, you can improve your posture, flexibility and mobility.
The regular dance follows the workshop at 8:30 pm with DJ Dave Stevenson spinning Ballroom and Latin Favourites.
