Nanaimo's longest functioning art group has been around for over 67 years. We have longstanding members who joined in the late 40's as teenagers. These days, the group has 50 active members with a waiting list of potential members. We enjoy workshops and demos from such notable artists as David Goatley, Harold Allanson and Leslie Redhead. The group has a very diverse membership some of which gather for the love of art and painting while other more serious members belong to organizations such as the Federation of Canadian Artists. In addition there are accomplished artists who simply no longer want to "flog their stuff". The weekly group meetings are full of happy energy, joy and the best of snacks. Come and see the group's work on November 1st.
