Street Celebration!
Celebration for the Heart of Nanaimo featuring Footprints of the Wolf, Willie Thrasher & Linda Saddleback, & Special Guests
Saturday, October 13, 1-3 PM
Join us as we celebrate the installation of the new public artwork, called Supernatural Eagle Bringing the Sun Back to the World, by Snuneymuxw father and son team, Joel and William Good. This new sculpture is carved in cedar, inspired by a Coast Salish origin story, and made especially for our place in the heart of downtown Nanaimo. Together, let's celebrate the artwork, honour the artists, and acknowledge all of the community supporters who helped realize the project. Everyone is welcome! Admission is free! This event will take place on the street in front of the Gallery rain or shine.
