The Science of Art

There are so many exciting ways that science and art are connected! Today we’ll plant and learn about native plant seeds, which will become living sculptures! (seeds and pots will be provided.) We’ll look at the New York–based artist/landscape designer Paula Hayes and her very cool botanical sculptures.

Unique art classes and activities for children ages 5-11 10:30am until noon on select Saturdays at Nanaimo Art Gallery’s Art Lab! Call 250-754-1750 to register. Cost: $12 per child ($18 for 2 siblings)

If you have a LEAP card your child may be eligibe for a bursary! Two LEAP spots are available each week; one per family. Each family is welcome to use up to 2 LEAP spots per month. Maximum program enrolment is 16 students. All phone reservations must be paid prior to 5 pm the Friday before Saturday Studio. Walk-in payments are accepted until 10:15am Saturday if there is still space.
