Introduction to Drawing

6 Tuesday evenings October 16� November 20: 6.30pm � 9pm

Instructor: Linda Findlay

This six-week course is ideal for beginners. Starting with basic skills, and taking inspiration from the Ann Kipling exhibit of drawings �The Solitudes of Place� at the Nanaimo Art Gallery, students will learn all about drawing media such as charcoal, conte, graphite and the techniques used for each. Through a series of interesting and dynamic exercises, you will be encouraged to find your own style and unique expression. You will learn about observation, line, form, proportion, depth, volume and composition. With each class you will gain confidence in your technical skills and free expression.

$160 plus HST: Some supplies provided. A supply list will be handed out at the first class.
