Stories live within us all�but it is drawing them out and taming them for the page, which can prove to be a challenge. In this beginner�s writing workshop, you will tackle this challenge head on by learning the basics of storytelling for the page, including the importance of scene setting, character development, narrative arc, and progression of plot. Over the course of six weeks, you will produce several writing exercises inspired by the artwork of our beautiful workshop space�the downtown Nanaimo ArtGallery�as well as produce one final short story. So pick up your pen, take on the challenge, and come create!"

$140 plus HST: Bring a notebook and pen and pencil to the first class.
