Writers’ Lab: Refining Your Voice (Registration code: 132451) Thursday October 16, 23 and 30, from 2:00 - 4:00pm If you’ve been writing for a little while, you’ve probably developed certain habits. Ballet dancers and opera singers meet with their coaches regularly to hone their skills, get support and correct their habits. In the world of writing, this connection and “tuning” can be invaluable. This workshop will provide you with an opportunity to hone your craft and develop your skills. Enjoy an exhibition tour and get inspired for this workshop! One of the subjects Lynne Bowen has written extensively on is Nanaimo’s fascinating coal mining history. Check the gallery’s website for info on Lynne’s tours of the exhibition Black Diamond Dust, at the gallery September 19-December 15. Lynne will also be writing essays for the exhibition catalogue. Cost: $110 plus GST (for 3 days): All supplies included. Participants are encouraged to bring works-in-progress to workshop with the group.
