In this workshop you will learn how to make a wax model for casting small objects in bronze � perfect for creating jewelry pieces or art objects! We will experiment with several techniques, including; subtracted carving of hard wax, additive sculpting in softer modeling wax, and creating designs with liquid (molten) wax. The wax models will be sent to a casting house, then to finish your bronze piece, we will go through some basic surface treatments and metal finishing techniques. A rare opportunity to learn the art of Lost Wax Casting and take home a finished bronze piece! This technique dates from around 4000 BC and has changed very little in that time.

Cost: $210 plus GST (for two days.) All supplies included.
(This price includes Lost Wax specific materials as well as fees to create small casts and have them shipped.)
