Abstraction Distraction

In this ‘puzzling’ Saturday Studio we will look at the work of abstract artists Kadinsky, Klee, and Delaunay for inspiration. Then, using acrylic paints we will create our own abstract painting—before dissecting it and re-arranging it to create something completely new!

Rizzi Portraits

This week, we’ll create James Rizzi inspired portraits at Saturday Studio. Rizzi is an American pop artist known for his childlike style and zany images. His strong linear style, patterning, and vibrant colours are great fodder for the wee creatives at Saturday Studio!

Suess on the Loose

This week we’ll let our imaginations take us to wild and wonderful places with the help of author & artist, Dr. Suess. Using surrealism as a launch pad for creating fantastical creatures & faraway places, we’ll go far... Oh, The Places We’ll Go!

If you have a LEAP card your child may be eligibe for a bursary! Two LEAP spots are available each week; one per family. Each family is welcome to use up to 2 LEAP spots per month. Maximum program enrolment is 16 students. All phone reservations must be paid prior to 5 pm the Friday before Saturday Studio. Walk-in payments are accepted until 10:15am Saturday if there is still space.
