If you have always wanted to write and are ready to take the first steps, this is the workshop for you.
With the help of your writing peers, encouragement and guidance from acclaimed writer and educator Lynne Bowen, and experimentation with various tools and techniques such as; poetic word choice and musical rhythm, you will be well on your way to writing prose with confidence. An especially good fit for those interested in exploring family histories in writing.

One of the subjects Lynne Bowen has written extensively on is Nanaimo's fascinating coal mining history. Check the gallery's website for info on Lynne's tours of the exhibition Black Diamond Dust, at the gallery September 19 - December 5. Lynne will also be writing essays for the exhibition catalogue.
