L O O K you can play Blues on the ukulele, and MANITOBA HAL is the real thing. Hal wows crowds from Blues stages worldwide with his award-winning compositions on ukulele and guitar. IF YOU LOVE BLUES, YOU'LL LOVE HAL!

The Ukulele festival concerts all take place at the lovely Millstone Winery in Nanaimo. To make sure Jazz and World music are not left out, the award-winning JAZZALELE DUO will present wonderful latin and jazz flavoured original music, as well as Jazz and Tropical standards.

In 2012, Jazzalele won the instrumental cover song competition at the Vancouver Ukulele Festival, which was judged by world class players and industry people. They have played the Pender Harbour Jazzfest, the Winecountry Ukulele Festival in Napa, California, Hermann's Jazz Club, and more!

Debuting at the 2014 festival are two new Ukulele Orchestras, the NANAIMO UKULELE ORCHSTRA, and the PARKSVILLE UKULELE ORCHESTRA! These groups perform a wide range of styles and are sure to please!

The Millstone Winery will present wine-tasting, and other treats, and the grounds will delight...

Bring your sunscreen, your lawnchair, your water bottle, your lunch, and also your ukulele and music if you have it. There will be times of everyone welcome "sing and strum." THERE ARE ALSO UKULELE WORKSHOPS SAT. 10 am - 3:30 pm (see separate listing).
