We�re a small group by choral standards, twenty three when we recorded our CD, �Circle of Souls� in 2003-04 and normally 10-15 show up each week out of 30 plus on our membership roll. Universal devotional chanting is a rather esoteric pursuit. We�re not strictly Hindu, or Christian, or Buddhist. Rather, we are a reflection of the fact that the world is getting smaller in cross cultural terms. We have come to realize that the eternal moment experienced during a Gregorian chant is the same as that during the Muslim chant that begins the sacred text of the Koran. We sing chants with which we sense a connection with the Divine: Hindu, Bahai, Hopi, West African Goddess, Tibetan Buddhist, Christian, Hebrew, and many more.
Over the years we have shared the magic of universal devotional chanting in appearances for like-minded groups such as Unity of the Comox Valley and Nanaimo, the Unitarian Fellowship, The Centre for Spiritual Living in Campbell River, the Labyrinth Society, the Therapeutic Gardening Society, Elder College, and at winter and summer solstice celebrations like the annual June gathering at Innesfree Farm.

At the 10th ANNIVERSARY, we have decided to invite the general public to help us celebrate at a very auspicious time of the year. Spring Equinox brings the promise of life returning and continuing in the eternal life, death, and rebirth cycle of Mother Earth.

COME JOIN US, SAT. MARCH 22 AT THE LITTLE RED CHURCH IN COMOX. Festivities begin at 3:30 with drumming and chanting which is free to all comers. A sumptuous yet light dinner served up by Tria Catering and Gourmet treats at 5:30-6:30 ($15) and evening singing with Mystic Valley Voices 7-9:30 ($15). Dinner and evening singing ($25) when purchased together.
