Mysterious Barricades: A Cross-Canada concert series for suicide prevention, awareness and hope

The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is proud to be partnering with the Canadian Association of Suicide Prevention (CASP) in supporting Mysterious Barricades' cross-country concert series on World Suicide Prevention Day. September 10, 2016.
This first-of-its-kind concert will see thirteen free concerts from St. John's, Newfoundland to Victoria, British Columbia, featuring some of Canada’s finest artists and performers coming together to raise awareness of suicide, suicide prevention and to support those at risk of and impacted by suicide. Performances feature a variety of musical styles – including classical vocal and instrumental, spoken word, jazz, new music, choral, folk and Indigenous.
From sunrise to sunset, the series of concerts will take place in cities from coast to coast, including St. John's, Halifax, Sackville, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, London, Kitchener & Waterloo, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Vancouver and Victoria.
Performers at the Victoria concert will include: Pamela Highbaugh Aloni; Ben Butterfield; Yoomi Kim; Harald Krebs; Sharon Krebs; Lafayette String Quartet; Ken Lavigne; Michelle Mares; Suzanne Snizek; Colin Tilney; Victoria Good News Choir.
For those not able to attend in person, all concerts will be live streamed throughout the day, beginning at 6:30 a.m. PDT on mysteriousbarricades.org.
