Vancouver Island singer-songwriter Myc Sharratt performs at Corner Lounge on April 9.

A singer-songwriter in the tradition of Dave Matthews and Bruce Springsteen, Myc Sharratt writes songs that draw from the heart, the working man, the dreamer.

Sharratt has released his fourth independent album "The Cellar Door". The album began in North Vancouver, BC with Juno nominated producer Ryan Stewart at the helm. Sharratt recorded his first two albums "Incomplete"and “Blueprint" with Stewart. The latter album drew 5 Vancouver Island Music Award nominations including a win for Male Vocalist of the Year. Production continued in Dublin, IE with Lisa Hannigan Band alum Gavin Glass at Orphan Recording. The majority of 'The Cellar Door' was co-produced by Sharratt on Vancouver Island, BC with Todd Dunsmore at Risque Disc Records. Having toured Ireland, USA and Canada many times over Sharratt has earned a reputation as a great live act.

In 2010 Sharratt’s live album ‘Six Feet Above’ drew a Songwriter of the Year nomination at the Vancouver Island Music Awards and a Top 20 nod for 104.3FM The Shore Sounds of Summer Contest. http://www.mycsharratt.com
