Patricia Vickers is an artist with Tsimshian, Heiltsuk, Haida and British ancestry. My Soul is Escaped is an account of her healing from dissociative amnesia. Vickers underwent a three-month period of neurofeedback to recover memory and heal from her childhood trauma. She learned to restore her spiritual balance and retrieve her soul, expressing her journey in a series of paintings.
