You are cordially invited to the Mid Vancouver Island Habitat Enhancements Society's AGM, Salmon BBQ and Guest Speaker Kim Stephens. Admission: $10, includes a MVIHES membership and a salmon BBQ dinner We are pleased to be hosting Kim A Stephens, M.Eng, P.Eng, Executive Director of the Partnership for Water Sustainability in BC presenting on: “Water Balance Pathway to a Water-Resilient Future” Mimic the Natural Water Balance: Unless and until land development practices mimic the natural water balance, communities cannot expect to restore the biological communities within streams. We must implement a “Whole Systems approach” to understanding how rainfall reaches a stream. Unlock that key and we can successfully implement appropriate measures to mimic the natural water balance.

To ensure we prepare enough fresh salmon for the BBQ. please confirm your attendance in advance by email to Shirley Hine at [email protected]. The $10.00 admission charge includes an annual membership to MVIHES, as well as a salmon dinner. The AGM will elect officers to the Board, accept membership renewals and new memberships, and report on the operations of the last fiscal period. In addition, the Board is proposing a Special Resolution.
