Singing in Gaelic and English, with a repertoire spanning traditional, contemporary and now original material, Maeve Mackinnon is renowned for the eloquent and emotional connection she forges with every song, communicated in a bewitchingly honeyed, husky, yet vibrantly earthy voice. Since the award-winning success of her 2007 debut album, �Don�t Sing Lovesongs�, the young singer has proved herself one of the most distinctively gifted artists on today�s UK folk scene; a reputation now set to rise further with the release of her eagerly anticipated follow-up, �Once Upon an Olive Branch�.
Joining Maeve on piano and accordian is Angus Lyon. In addition to his work with fiddler Ruairidh Campbell and Box Club, Angus�s most recent projects include touring with Blazin� Fiddles and the groundbreaking Halton Quartet. Angus has also recorded and performed with an array of legendary musicians, including Paul McCartney, Yusuf Islam (formerly Cat Stevens), Eliza Carthy and Scott Matthews.
World-class guitarist Ross Martin completes the trio. A quarter of West coast supergroup, �D�imh�, he is an instrumentalist of considerable depth and talent. A man in demand, Ross has toured with the very best in the Scottish and Irish music, including Karan Casey, Buille, Dual and Harem Scarem.
