Saturday afternoons in July and August Christ Church Cathedral’s 51st Summer Recital Series presents hour-long programs in wide variety, featuring up-and coming emerging talents alongside established artists including some of the city's most distinguished teachers and orchestral musicians.
Three musical MacLeods perform a very appealing program of lovely art songs and rarely heard trios for clarinet, viola and piano.
It’s a family affair, with the long-time Principal Clarinet of the Victoria Symphony joined by his equally talented wife Jennifer and daughter Heather.
Violist Jennifer MacLeod enjoys an active free-lance career, performing as an “extra” for both the Vancouver and Victoria Symphonies.
Heather MacLeod follows in the family’s musical footsteps, having presented her Bachelor of Music graduating recital this past spring.
University of Victoria’s vocal coach Charlotte Hale will provide the all-important piano partnership for all three.
