Music of Joy is a group of performers of diverse cultural backgrounds.
Some of us have studied Indian Classical music, others have a background in Western Classical. What brings us together is our love of the Middle Eastern Qawwali and the Indian Bhajans whose strong rhythms are carried by Tabla and Dholak. We have travelled India to find inspiration in the music of the villages and performed on stages of Canada and Europe.
The concert is dedicated to Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi who was a patron of traditional Indian Music.
