Concert at St. Michael & All Angels Anglican Church, directed by Tony Booker.
There will be excerpts from Haydn's 'The Seven Last Words on the Cross' performed by the DieMahler String Quartet. A vocal quartet, Colleen Ball, soprano, Rebekkah Patriarche, alto, John Doughty, tenor and Paul Boughen, bass, will perform a capella motets from the Renaissance by Correa, Gesualdo, Clemens non Papa, Handl and Lassus. The St. Michael's Church Choir (and friends) will be joined by the DieMahler Quartet, plus Alex Olson, c'bass, and Rainer Roth, woodwinds, to perform a setting of the 'Stabat Mater' by Tony Booker.
As an added incentive, Hot Cross Buns will be served after the concert!.
