African Xylophone & Drum Ensemble Sun. 1-3 pm - $40 By special request - your chance to enjoy learning to play authentic African xylophones along with the drum parts that go with them. These ancient instruments are the ancestors of the Western concert marimba, and are have a rich tonal quality.

Bass Drum Conversations Sun 3:30-5:30 pm - $40 Did you know that bass drums talk to each other?!? Between the three sizes of drums, the different voices carry on musical conversations. This traditional way of playing is very fun to learn, and will enhance your understanding of African music.

Djembe Rhythms in 6 Sun. 7-8:30 pm - $29 TRANCE OUT with waves of rhythm... African rhythms in 6/8 loop in a special way, creating cascades of beats that are very hypnotic. These are great rhythms to learn for mediation/stress relief, and they are also fantastic for dancing! Beginners are welcome and instruments are provided.
