The Oak Bay Beach Hotel is thrilled to once again welcome back a long standing tradition of big screen releases to the community through our regularly scheduled Tuesday movie nights in the David Foster Foundation Theatre.

With the new release of The Great Gatsby we decided to pay tribute to the collection of fast-paced, artisticly creative, and musically rich film�s from award-winning director Baz Luhrmann. Enjoy epic love stories, splashy set designs, hollywoods biggest stars and uniquely memorable movies amongst friends starting at 6:15pm.

Have your choice of mini pulled-pork sliders or mini fish & chips, house-made buttered popcorn and ice cream pie for dessert. Purchase one of our micro-brews, fine wines or favourite libations, sit back in our movie chair seats and enjoy Romeo + Juliet on our big screen, amongst friends for $24 per person + tax.

The classic Shakespearean romantic tragedy is updated to a post-modern Verona Beach where swords are merely a brand of gun. Longtime rivals in religion and business, the Montagues and the Capulets form rival gangs. Romeo (Leonardo DiCaprio) realizes that Juliet (Claire Danes) is a Capulet at the end of one very wild party, the enmity between the two clans becomes the root of his angst. Romeo is, of course, exiled, and it looks like Juliet will be forced into an arranged marriage. It ends, as Romeo and Juliet must, when Romeo hears a tragic piece of misinformation and brings his suicide wish to Juliet �s temporary tomb.
