The Oak Bay Beach Hotel is thrilled to once again welcome back a long standing tradition of big screen releases to the community through our regularly scheduled Tuesday movie nights in the David Foster Foundation Theatre.

With the new release of The Great Gatsby we decided to pay tribute to the collection of fast-paced, artisticly creative, and musically rich film�s from award-winning director Baz Luhrmann. Enjoy epic love stories, splashy set designs, hollywoods biggest stars and uniquely memorable movies amongst friends starting at 6:15pm.

Have your choice of mini pulled-pork sliders or mini fish & chips, house-made buttered popcorn and ice cream pie for dessert. Purchase one of our micro-brews, fine wines or favourite libations, sit back in our movie chair seats and enjoy Moulin Rouge on our big screen, amongst friends for $24 per person + tax.

Ewan McGregor stars as Christian, who leaves behind his bourgeois past to seek his fortunes in the bohemian underworld of Montmartre, Paris. There he meets the artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (John Leguizamo), who introduces him to a world of sex, drugs, music, theater, and the scandalous dance known as the cancan, all at the Moulin Rouge; where Christian also meets and falls into a tragically doomed romance with the courtesan Satine (Nicole Kidman), who becomes the star of the play he�s writing. Experience a story utilizing rock music from a century later, including songs by Nirvana, Madonna, the Beatles, and Queen, among others.
