The Oak Bay Beach Hotel is thrilled to once again welcome back a long standing tradition of big screen releases to the community through our regularly scheduled Tuesday movie nights in the David Foster Foundation Theatre.
We have decided to extend Summer into October with a series of popular and acclaimed Summer releases to experience with friends in the comfortable luxury of Victorias newest weekly movie house.
Have your choice of mini pulled-pork sliders or mini fish & chips, house-made buttered popcorn and ice cream pie for dessert. Purchase one of our micro-brews, fine wines or favourite libations, sit back in our movie chair seats and enjoy 42 on our big screen, amongst friends for $24 per person + tax.
Join us for the release of 42: The Jackie Robinson Story [Rated PG] at 6:15pm.
42 tells the story of two men-the great Jackie Robinson and legendary Brooklyn Dodgers GM Branch Rickey-whose brave stand against prejudice forever changed the world by changing the game of baseball. In 1946, Branch Rickey (Harrison Ford) put himself at the forefront of history when he signed Jackie Robinson (Chadwick Boseman) to the team, breaking Major League Baseballs infamous color line.
