This will be a once in a lifetime experience for attendees as two legendary musicians from two opposite ends of the world and two different generations reveal how they got where they are and give their unique perspective's on music.

�STREET WISE (THE ART OF LOOPING)" - DUB FX

This talk will demonstrate the art of looping by way of beatboxing, vocals and tweaks. The audience will be guided on a journey through the love of loop, experiencing how moments of impromptu inspirations can play a key role in capturing the attention of potential lifetime fans.

Also the session will cover some street promotion techniques and the use of a loop pedal to enhance both live and recorded music. The session will consist of a checklist format listing the tools and necessities needed to be a versatile street performer.

EVOLUTION AND SPECIATION - Yasiin Bey (Mos Def)

Yasiin will make a keynote address on his life and career and how it has intertwined with Reggae and Ska. He will examine how Jamaican inspired music has influenced hip hop and his career.

He will also speak of working with crossover artists like Stephen Marley and having Max Tannone remix his work. The open-ended workshop may also include some spontaneity in the spirit of Victoria Ska Festival, which encourages collaboration and improvisation where ever possible.
