This term, the City Talks series is themed Changing Memoryscapes in the City, which features speakers from Vancouver, New Westminster and Tennessee. This series is sponsored and organized by the Urban Studies Committee at the University of Victoria. This upcoming City Talk features Emma Renaerts, a master’s student in the school of Journalism from the University of British Columbia. She will be lecturing on the controversies surrounding monuments and their impacts on marginalization groups of people with a focus on indigenous marginalization.
