Monoprinting: Painterly Printmaking

The focus of this course will be largely on monoprinting and some collagraphic techniques. Students will learn how to develop a series of interrelated prints using stencils and masks, multi component plates and textural surfaces. Methods for enhancing or augmented prints with other media and techniques such as blind embossing, collage and acrylics will be covered. Presentation techniques such as flush mount panel mounting will also be covered. Course includes presentations plus hands-on demonstrations and time allocated to work on the press.
