The Maritime Museum of BC is going virtual with MMBC Discovers Live and many of our learning programs! Our programs have been designed using the BC curriculum, and adapted for a virtual format using everything we know about learning online! Choose from two formats:
LIVE
Participants join us for a program LIVE using Zoom Meetings, where they have the chance to interact with our museum educators. After purchasing a Live program, you will receive a link to register for the Zoom Meeting. Participants who join us live will also receive access to the recorded program!
RECORDING Receive a link to the recorded version of the live program for a reduced cost. The recorded program will only be available 24 hours after the live program has occurred.
OCEAN CONSERVATION Grade 2 Science
The Ocean Conservation program introduces students to water and ocean conservation through scientific inquiry. Students will interact with scientific equipment to discover the relationship between land and water and its significance to all living things. Answer the questions: “How are our oceans and other natural water sources connected to the land and how we live?”; “What is pollution?”; “How do we keep our water clean?”
To register for a Live program, visit our online store. For more information, please email us at [email protected]. Please be aware that for the months of March and April, most museum staff will be working from home, and therefore mostly accessible by e-mail.
Please note: Registration for LIVE programs must occur at least 2 hours before the scheduled program and provide an e-mail, or we can not guarantee that you will receive the link to participate. We will contact you before the program, and are available for Zoom troubleshooting aid up to 2 hours before the program start time.
