Milk Crate Bandits Live at Char's Landing

Vancouver based New Orleans-style jazz band Milk Crate Bandits are bringing their brand of joyous New Orleans and traditional jazz to Port Alberni.


The touring line up will feature Canadian Trombone legend, Brad Shigeta, who whilst living in New York played in The Ellington Band and The Illinois Jacquet Band; Chris O’Dea member of the Australian circus and jazz show Scotch and Soda, which has just completed a six month run in Berlin; Jen Hodge a lindy Hop star and local Vancouver Island-born bass player; as well as Vancouver banjoist, Jack Ray, who has been dubbed by Woody Allen’s banjo player, Eddy Davis, as ‘The future’ of jazz banjo.


The show will be in support of their brand new EP 'The View From Out Here' which along with their debut, 'The Neighbourhood' was recorded in New Orleans.
