Singer-songwriter Michael Coughlan performs at the Duncan Showroom on June 10.

Michael Coughlan is a songwriter making his home in Toronto, Ontario. He has lived in towns across the country including Medicine Hat, AB, Drummondville, QC, Halifax, NS, and Kitchener, ON. His debut album, 'The Sixth Avenue Verses' was produced by underground roots music genius Shannon Lyon. From a lyrical standpoint he paints in bold strokes, delivering unfettered compositions strongly rooted in story. His influences include Neil Young, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, The Replacements, Shannon Lyon, Leonard Cohen, Steve Earle, Rush, Bob Dylan, Warren Zevon, and many more. Coughlan is also an actor and is sometimes recognized for his starring role in the underground classic short film 'Nuit Blanche'.
